Travel Tips For Singapore


  • Do not stand on the right lane of the escalator if you’re not in a rush. The right lane is for people who are in a hurry.

  • Don’t sit on the reserved seats on public transport (such as buses or trains). 

  • Don’t forget to tap in or out of the bus or MRT otherwise you’ll have to pay up to 50 SGD.

  • Do not eat or drink at the MRT station or inside the bus or MRT otherwise, you’ll have to pay 500 SGD as a fine. 

  • Don’t chew gums and smoke in public in Singapore. If you don’t obey this rule, you can be fined up to 1000 SGD.

  • Don’t vandalize public property otherwise, you’ll have to pay 2000 SGD as a fine.

  • Do not throw trash anywhere otherwise, you’ll have to pay 1000 SGD as a fine.

  • Don’t feed the pigeons, monkeys, stray dogs, or cats, in Singapore, or else you’ll have to pay a fine of 500 SGD.
